The Friends of the Library is composed of people who believe in the importance of books, reading, learning and libraries for people of all ages and those who share the common interest of strengthening the development of the Sachse Public Library. Friends of the Library sponsor programs designed to add to the cultural life of the community, encourage gifts, endowments and memorials for the library, and provide direct financial assistance to the library.
As a Friend of the Sachse Public Library you will promote the development of the library facilities and services as an educational and cultural asset to the City of Sachse. You will enhance cooperation among local citizens, library board members and government officials. When you become a Friend of the Sachse Public Library, you will enjoy the association with others who share an interest in books, libraries and the community.
The Friends of the Library meet every fourth Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Library. Meetings are open to the public.
The Friends organization is incorporated under Texas state law as a non-profit charitable organization, separate from the Sachse city government. Any individual or business interested in promoting the library is eligible to become a member. Individual memberships ($5.00) and family memberships ($10.00) are available and collected annually.
Yes. Bring your gently used books, magazines, videos and CDs and drop them off at the Library.
